Weather in Turin, Italy – The best time to visit the city

Are you planning a visit to Turin, Italy, and would like to stay ahead of the climate early before arrival? Good call! But rest assured that the weather in Turin is nice all year round – depending on what you want to experience. The capital of Piedmont has its 4 seasons well defined, so it’s good to look a little deeper into each one in order to decide what is the best time to visit Turin for you.

Turin Weather in Autumn is sunny and pleasant.

The climate in Turin is moderately continental (or general Mediterranean). In short, it means that summers are warm, sunny and humid, winters are cold and damp, and it can get cloudy the rest of the year.

Turin is at the foot of the Alps, 800 feet (around 250 mt) above sea level. Due to this position, it doesn’t get as hot in the summer or as foggy in the winter as in the rest of the Po Valley, in Northern Italy. Temperatures in Turin fluctuate between 31°F/0°C to 84°F/29°C, rarely going over 90°F/33°C or under 24°F/-5°C.

If you’re wondering: does it snow in Turin? Well, it does, even though residents have witnessed a decrease in the snowfalls over the years. Snow is common in the winter, which is also the driest season in Turin.

Now let’s have that deeper look into the seasons in Turin, shall we?
