Are you going to the Kappa FuturFestival 2025? Or are you hearing about it for the first time, and unsure if you should go? Then keep reading.
I will guide you through what you need to know about this electronic music festival in Turin, Northern Italy. Plus how to plan your trip, where to stay, how to get around, and more.

Why should you trust my advice?
Well, I’m a Brazilian who chose to live in Turin, and I have attended a couple of Kappa Futur (so far). I LOVE a good party, I love Turin, and I have been to many festivals worldwide.
So hold my hand, and let’s have fun planning your Kappa Futur Festival.
This practical guide will work as a Q&A. You can read everything now, and later go directly to the part where you need information.
Put the music on, grab something to drink, and let’s start!
Ps: That’s me and Rob having a blast on the 1st day of Kappa FuturFestival. And watch our festival video here!
Kappa FuturFestival or Kappa Festival, are they the same?
The correct name is Kappa FuturFestival, but you find people calling it Kappa Festival, FuturFestival (written together and separated), Kappa Torino Festival, Turin Futur Festival, and so on.
The history of the FuturFestival is interesting. It started in 2009 when a New Year’s event was organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Futurism movement. Since then the festival’s popularity grew and in 2012 it became the first Italian summer daytime festival.
2012 was also the year the Italian sports brand Kappa got together with the festival, and since then it has been called Kappa FuturFestival.
The year 2013 was a turning moment, FuturFestival was named the most popular urban electronic music festival in Italy and was among the top five European Summer festivals.
For me, it’s one of the top festivals I have attended and I have no doubt it is one the best reasons to visit Turin.

Kappa FuturFestival 2025 Dates:
The 2025 festival edition is happening on July 4th, 5th and 6th.
It’s a summer festival, always during the weekend. It used to be only a 2-day festival (Saturday and Sunday), but as of 2023, they added Friday to the calendar.
And if you manage well, you can enjoy the three days.
Is it a daytime or nighttime festival?
Both. Torino Kappa Festival happens during the day and night.
The lineup starts at midday and the party finishes at midnight.
If you think it’s too early to go home, many after-parties are happening in the city, I will tell you later.

Kappa FuturFestival Location:
The FuturFestival happens in Turin, Northern Italy.
The festival location is Parco Dora, an urban park in Turin, very close to the city center and well connected to public transportation. More are about getting to Turin and the festival site later on.

How many stages does the Kappa Futur Festival have?
The last Kappa FuturFestiva had 5 stages – Jäger, Futur, Voyage, Nova, and Kosmo. And I had to follow the lineup timeline to catch all the DJs I wanted to see. But I also wandered around to discover new music and artists.
Above all, it’s a festival experience, so you must get lost to find the best moments.

IMPORTANT TIP: If you are planning to attend Futur Festival with your friends check out the promo they have for group tickets (minimum of 6 tickets per purchase). It’s roughly a 15% discount on each ticket, it’s not a lot, but as they say, every little helps!
When possible, buy the tickets as soon as they are announced. You can save a lot buying the early bird. To have an idea, this year’s General Admission Early Bird was €130.
It’s a great deal for a 3-day festival, where you can see international DJs, top acts, and some of your favorite artists.
Where can you buy the Kappa Futur Festival Tickets?
You can get it on their official website KappaFuturFestival.it.
The first early birds are sold out, sign up for the festival newsletter and you will receive an email as soon as they announce the dates the festival tickets go on sale.
Payment can be made with Mastercard and Visa cards.
Kappa FuturFestival is a cashless event, how does it work?
You don’t need money or credit cards during the festival as it’s a cashless event. Kappa was the first Italian festival to introduce cashless payment for goods and services.
You will receive a wristband with a tag on the first-day entrance, where you can top up money via an official app or at the top-up stations in the festival.
The wristband is linked to your ticket, so you can even top up it before arriving at the festival. It’s super easy, and you will receive an email with your top-ups, and if you have any money left unused you can cash back after the festival.
The details about the cashless system and the app you need to download will be sent to your inbox a few weeks or days before the festival.

What drinks and food will you find at Kappa FuturFestival?
There are many bars at the festival selling vodka, rum and gin-based cocktails, beer, and water. You will find at least one bar at the entrance of each stage.
I found it fairly easy to get drinks. We top up our wristbands before going to the festival which saves time and we didn’t need to worry about going to the top-up station in the middle of the party.
For food, there was a food court with burgers, fries, piadinas, and açaí bowls, which were great for the hot days. Again you use your wristband to pay for food, and even merchandising.
Important note:
There are many rubbish bins spread all around the festival. Please, do your part and throw your empty glass or bottle in the bin. The party aftermath is ugly and sad with so much litter on the ground. Be nice to the planet and to the people you party with.

How are the bathrooms at Kappa FuturFestival?
There are a couple of toilet areas spread around the festival site. The first year I went to the festival the chemical toilets were plenty and clean.
The second year was a bit different, we had to face queues at the toilets, especially in the middle of the afternoon (between 4 and 6 pm). At night there was less queue, don’t ask me why, but that is what I noticed.
Also, we got rain and one of the toilet areas had no cover, which was a bit annoying to queue in the rain.
I hope the organization plans better the number of bathrooms and how they are located in the festival.
Can people with disabilities or special needs access the festival?
Parco Dora is an open space and there are no architectural barriers. People with disabilities can use the regular entrances. In case you need any special attention, I suggest contacting the festival organization a few days before the event.
Keep in mind that it’s a park so the terrain can be rough and muddy.

What do you need to get into the festival?
You need your ticket and a valid document with a photo to get into the festival.
Check on your ticket which entrance is yours – Gate A or B, and be prepared to queue on the first day.
The huge queues on the first day are the only thing I dislike about Kappa FuturFestival.
I get it, they need to deliver the wristbands and do the security check, but the organization knows that most people will arrive between 2 pm and 5 pm, so be prepared with more staff.
And please put some security to organize the queues, because sorry my Italian friends, people in Italy don’t know how to queue respectfully.
Now that I have my rant, let’s get back to festival planning.
How safe is the Kappa FuturFestival?
I felt super safe at the festival. The crew from the entrance, to the bar, cleaning, and bouncers were friendly and helpful. Plus there were health and safety tend where we could seek help in case of feeling unwell or harmed.
The crow was well-behaved. As a woman, I didn’t feel unsafe or harassed.
We received a comment in this article saying people got robbed during the last festival. I didn’t see anything and I didn’t know personally anyone in a similar situation. But just in case, be aware and keep your belongings safe in a bag or your front pockets.
In case anything bad happens, there is police and fire brigade on site.
Are there security checks at the festival entrance?
Yes! The festival has two entrances (as I said before, check your ticket to know which one is yours), and there are security checks in both. There are also police officers standing by the entrance to make sure everything goes smoothly.
You can find on the festival website a list of the items prohibited at the event, don’t bring them and you will be fine.
How to get to Kappa FuturFestival?
Getting to Kappa Festival is easy, you can go by public transportation, car, shared bikes, and on foot. It all depends on where you are staying.
Put on Google Maps the address and check the best options to get from your accommodation.
The end of any party is a bit chaotic, so expect to wait for taxis. The bad news is that UBER doesn’t work in Turin, it sucks, I know! But you can download the FreeNow and WeTaxi apps to book a taxi in Turin.
We cycled to our first Kappa festival. We usually use RideMovi to get around the city, going to Kappa was no different. Just be careful, if you drink, don’t ride!
Last festival we were staying with friends relatively close to the park. So instead of waiting for a taxi we just walked. It was a 30-minute walk, enough to burn all the energy left in the body.

Are there any official Kappa FuturFestival after parties?
Yes, many after-parties happen during the festival, and the official ones are usually at Audiodrome and Azimut.
The after-parties lineup is announced on Kappa FuturFestival Instagram and there will be a link to buy the tickets in advance, which I recommend. These parties are usually sold out.
Audiodrome is a big club in Turin’s outskirts, it can be a struggle to get there after the festival. But manageable.
Azimut on the other hand is close to Parco Dora and easy to reach, but it’s a smaller venue.
I like Azimout a lot, and if you end up there say hi to DJ Gandalf, he is playing a Kappa, is a good friend and probably will be there.
How do you get to Turin, Italy?
Traveling to Turin is easy, the city is well connected with an international Airport (Torino Caselle Airport), two train stations with high-speed trains, and it’s on the route of major bus companies like Flixbus and Malindo.
You can search for flights using Skyscanner and here is our guide on flying to Turin.
In case there are no flights from your city/country to Turin, try to search for a flight to Milan that is only 1 hour away from Turin. Here is a complete guide on traveling from Milan to Turin (the fastest and cheapest way).
For buses use the Bookaway website and read our Turin Bus Guide.
For trains, search for the train operator from your country, Trenitalia or Italo from Italy, and if you have any doubt here is a comprehensive guide on traveling to Turin by train.
